Election February 5, 2008 Update (WRRDGC) Commissioner Frank Avila

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC) had Commissioner Positions on the ballot February 5, 2008. When I voted yesterday, my neighbors let me know Jan Schakowsky was pushing a candidate other than Commissioner Frank Avila. I wish to thank Alex Armour for returning my call. Sarah Gersten of Jan's staff informed me Jan backed Mariyana Spyropoulos and Dean Maragos. I am wondering why Jan did not support the reelection of Commissioner Frank Avila? Commissioner Frank Avila was the top vote recipient in the category. I cannot tell how happy I am, Commissioner Frank Avila returning back to provide leadership at the district. I think we should give much of the credit to his son, Attorney Frank Avila. Thank you for all the good clean shows for children on the Environment, the Avila Family should rejoice in this victory.   1. Patrick on the 12th ward palm card Mr. Frank Avila wasn’t on it I thought Frank Avila had the Democratic Endorcement and he is the only Latino to run for Water Reclamation and he’s not on a plam card that the ward is mostly Latino. That shows how disgusting HDO is.

  2. Cong. Schakowsky is nothing more than a political cancer in her community. Anything she and that felon husband of hers touch politically quickly turns into rat manure.

    I wouldn’t be shocked to see her hubby back at his check-kiting ways (or some other nefarious scheme). Hopefully, should that prove to be the case, the Asst. US Attorney won’t give Bob Creamer (Schakowsky’s husband) the velvet glove treatment, and try to go after her as well.

    Your community will not improve until it rids itself of this political cancer, so the sooner you are rid of Schakowsky and all of her cohorts (one way or another) the better!

    She thinks the winning political coalition is only white liberal and Black–Hispanics and white ethnics and Catholics NEED NOT APPLY.
    Jan Shakowsky is an anti-Hispanic racist–ALL THE HOUSE MEMBERS WHO ARE HISPANIC AND THE LEADERSHIP SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THAT INCLUDING THE MIAMI CUBAN REPUBLICANS.
