Four Year Old killed near open Chicago Fire Hydrant

Many Chicago Children have been injured by open fire hydrants and the injuries are not reported because they are engaged in illegal activities. I was not surprised that many of the open fire hydrants did not have the "Custodian" devices that make it more difficult to turn the water on. I was part of the additional three crews added to help shut off the the fire hydrants in the central district alone. The City of Chicago Department of Water Management has downed the North and South District Hydrant Trucks, and in sworn testimony insisted the trucks were not needed. A 4-year-old boy was fatally struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon while he was playing near an open fire hydrant on Chicago's South Side, authorities said. He was identified this morning as Marshawn Lee, of the 6100 block of South Rhodes Avenue.
Police said the driver ran through a stop sign. The accident occurred about 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of 60th and May Streets, in the city's Englewood neighborhood, police said.

Marshawn was playing in the spray of water from an open fire hydrant when he was struck by a sport-utility vehicle heading westbound on 60th Street, Chicago Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva said.
He was taken in "very critical condition" to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The man driving the SUV apparently did not see the boy and stopped after realizing what happened, police said. He was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to yield to a pedestrian. He has a court appearance scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 31 in Traffic Court.

man,... Marshawn was always running around the house be marshawn but when i got a call from my sister(marshawn's mom) i felt my heart die cause i didn't want him to leave....but we all know that he is in heaven looking down on all of his family and friends ..
