The other joke is how the politically connected claim they are pro-union but all have non union outfits with low wages and bad benefits like Mike Tadin or the Teamsters bosses.

The CTA has the same problems as the rest of the Locals membership when it comes to this current Executive Board doing what they are paid to do. Since they've been in office they have not protected us members and it has shown through our grievances not being heard and management telling members to call the union while laughing. I was proud to stand next to my Brother and Sister Teamsters in support of the CTA and I am hoping that the current Executive Board realizes that we are not going to stand by and watch them collect a salary and doing nothing to earn it. The Fighting for the Future Slate has not only brought the membership together they are also bringing the other slates that ran against them together to unite with them. We are waiting patiently for answers from the Joint Council 25 for a re-vote or a new election which should be answered no later than August 11, 2008.

Daley is getting old and he has heart disease just like his father. On at least one occasion it is believed that he suffered a mild heart attack but has covered it up, the same way he covers every other thing up that will play negative against him. He made a comment a few weeks ago that he does not want to die in office like his father. His face gets beat red from all the stress he suffers as mayor. He knows he will soon go the way of John Stroger and his father if he does not cool his jets. He wants another Daley to succeed him. His son maybe, but that's a long shot at best because of Patrick Daley's major flaws. Bill Daley is being floated for governor of Illinois, but I do not see that happening. I think Bill Daley wants to be the next mayor of Chicago and he will gun for the governors job only to relent it to Lisa Madigan after Mike Madigan her father agrees to support Bill Daley for mayor of Chicago. Bill Daley will probably even try to force his way in office as mayor Richie Daley steps down in a couple of years. Daley will sell the city's soul to get the Olympics and with the Olympics done, Richie can step down with a legacy assured and a re-built south side of Chicago in order to make way for the Olympics. Even if the Olympics is not secured, Richie will still bring in the bull dozers and pave a new south side free of African Americans as Jessie Jackson will keep his mouth shut the same way he is doing now. But the bad economy which is getting worse is the whole wild card. Richie feels that by giving his brother Bill the mayorship, that Bill will follow in Richies footsteps and continue on with the plans that he has set forth. That is to rid the city of all it's working class and poor people while opening the door for the rich and affluent to take over and completely gentrify Chicago from the North, South, East and West. Who will stop him from doing this? Only a soon to be powerful alderman (the peoples mayor)Rielly or a Jessie Jackson jr. or a soon to be Defeated Barack Obama. We shall soon see.

(son in law) so does that explain a lot. Mr Ortiz ALLEGILY ask the union member to bring in their ballots so he could fill out the "correct people" on their ballots and mail them in for the members. A Violation? I think you will win the election if you clean up the "HDO" thing. The only way to beat this Executive board (726) is to vote them out..... A little bird told me that a "Re-Vote "is right around corner . Why no Union picnic? No MONEY>>> They have to keep up their "Three Union Pensions".

a few of us were looking at your web site at lunch time.we were wondering what ever happen to the driver at u.i.c. motor pool that made that video with his lawyer ?we seen the union Stuart from 726 and the only thing he said was u.i.c. keep's postponing the court hearing .also what was the name of the his lawyer ?some of us tradesmen would like to contact him regarding some problem's at u.i.c. and our union .
