Chicago Clout and www.ChicagoGoons.com team up. Buckle Up Chicago

Richard Daley's Passion.jpg This is a vision of Mayor Daley and his insane desire to be the God Almighty of the Olympic Games. For some reason, Daley thought he could crap the world with is bully tactics, just like he does in Chicago. I always hear about Daley and his passion, fight for what you believe in, he bellows like a big airbag. Daley has a problem because he has been put in his place again by everyone outside the Chicagoland area. They do not rely on his illegal contracts and bending the laws, his arm-twisting is stopped at the door. I find it beyond belief Daley is worried about abortion rights at this time, when his credibility and respect is tanking. I wonder what fool in his Administration told him to rant about this new topic. Daley cannot control all the contract favors and keep Chicago City Workers gainfully employed. Chicago is in a financial mess, Daley is at the helm. When trouble happens, people look for answers; Daley is not the go to guy. I have finally met someone to partner with on getting graphics which will give Jack Higgins a run for his money. Now that is a great and mighty task! We are also fixing the sound in our last video posts that was caused in the studio.

Cardinal George would love this. I'm sure he will give Daley a fancy funeral.

The image appearing with the above post is in very poor taste and demonstrates poor judgment on the part of the blog host. I don’t care how important or significant you think a story is, you should never use a religiously significant image, Jesus Christ on the Cross, for your political/personal agenda. I consider this blog both reasonable and credible but this will be my last post if you allow your blog to be used in such an offensive manner. Keep the story if you like but please remove the offensive image. (Response) Please tell me what is so offensive. Is abortion offensive? Is Daley offensive?

October 11, 2009 Fr. Michael Pfleger says the government's involvement in an anti-violence effort is only the beginning of what needs to be done.
This past spring, Fr. Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina church hung an American flag upside down as a symbol of the community distress. Sunday, he hung the flag right side up again because he says a recent visit by the U.S. attorney general and education secretary to Chicago showed the government's commitment to helping to fight violence.
"We're looking for Washington to partner with the community to solve the problem. This is a partnership, but we need their resources, and we need their powers. Government has a place in this," Pfleger said.
Fr. Pfleger says the federal government has promised funds to help in the anti-violence effort.

Members of the church called it a wake-up call to the community after the recent killing of Fenger high school student Derrion Albert.

Well I checked again today and the radio channel 1 for sts & san has not been working since Saturday due to our great city not wanting to spend the money to get it fixed. I was told to use channel 7 but there is problems there too with the interference. What about the safety of the workers if they cant get a call in for help

Water sewer was also messed up too
(Response) I reported it to the Dispatch at 39th and Iron. I told them I am filing a complaint on behalf of the City.

Daley says CTA fare hikes, service cuts 'very ugly' but doesn't offer alternative

The potential fare increases and service cuts threatened by the cash-strapped Chicago Transit Authority present a “very, very ugly” scenario, Mayor Richard Daley said today.

But the mayor would not say what he thinks is the right solution to the CTA’s $300 million budget shortfall.

On Monday, Daley’s CTA appointees said they need employee union concessions and state help to avoid cutting bus lines and raising the price of a train ride from $2.25 to $3.

“This is only proposed,” Daley said today. “Like anything, that’s the last resort. No one wants to see fare increases or service cuts, but they are in a very difficult position.”
Daley said the CTA must come up with “some new solutions,” but he did not specify what he thinks should be done.

In the past, Daley has scorned former Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s initiative that gave free rides to seniors as a political ploy. But today, the mayor would not take a clear position on that issue.

Asked if seniors should now have to pay again, Daley replied, “No, let them look at it first.”

Asked the same question again a few moments later, the mayor added, “They have to revisit everything. And that is one of them they have to revisit, definitely.”

Even though CTA officials last week identified $122 million in internal cuts in next year's budget, that still leaves a $178 million deficit.

A chunk of that deficit could be made up by repealing the free rides program that Blagojevich offered to senior citizens last year. Free rides were later expanded to include low-income disabled people, disabled military veterans and active military personnel in uniform.

Daley last year questioned the move, saying, “Any politician can give things for free, but there is no such thing as a free lunch. Someone has to pay for it.”

With an election looming next year, it's questionable whether state lawmakers who approved the free senior rides perk would be willing to take it away.

Daley also did not say what concessions the union employees should accept. “I don’t know. You just have to be able to work that out.”

The mayor said he recognized that a fare hike could end up costing the CTA money rather than raising new revenue. “When you raise fares, you drive people away,” he said.

The only thing Daley seemed sure of was that the economy will only get worse, further exacerbating the transit agency’s woes.

“This is very complicated. They have to come up with some new solutions," he said.

Daley said he did not yet know how his administration would try to combat its own $550 million budget deficit, although he again ruled out increasing property taxes.

(Response) I reported it to the Dispatch at 39th and Iron. I told them I am filing a complaint on behalf of the City.

Was told that OEMC knew about it on Saturday morning but s&s comm burns did not approve for repair techs to come out even though they get comp time.

Looks like it finally got repaired by monday afternoon

Once again putting the workers at risk. Remember the trucks usually have their department and channel 1 for emergencies in they radio only

Putting Daley on a cross is offensive but I bet that person who complained thinks slicing out a baby's skull and sucking out his brains with a vaccum is perfectly pro-choice and ok.
