Chicago Residency Law City Worker Fired Video

Not long ago, I received a e-mail from a fired Chicago City Worker. His name is Andre Watson. He told me his story. Another forman in the Chicago Department of Water Management asked me to help Andre. Andre is a highly valued worker in the Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation. He was fired for violation of Chicago Residency Law. This disturbing video shows the Nazi, Gestapo tactics used by Mayor Daley’s Inspector General. All Chicago City Employees must see this video. A copy of this video will be sent to the U.S. Department of Justice.   1. I think that the way the City of Chicago, Daley Administration, and his Inspectors treated Andre Watson was truly outrageous. The lies and the scare tactics to get this man to sign paperwork to oust him out of a job was sickening. People need other people to help with sick patients and Mr. Watson is truly a cancer patient that would require additional help after surgery, chemo, radiology etc. He needs to be cared for 24/7. Just because he’s cared for in a hospital or caregivers resident temporarily does not mean he’s a permanent resident. I think he was treated unfairly and for the Inspector General not to discuss his case with him was unjust. For him not to have the appropriate representation with him while all this paperwork was going on, just goes to prove that his ousting needed to be private in order to cover up their shady ways. Andre received accolades from the Mayor for a job well done. Somebody needed him out of his position in order to infiltrate a made man or men to his department. They are covering up and the Daley Administration needs a overhaul.

The Daley Administration and it’s Political games truly sickens me, I read about an employee from his administration who was the cause of a 9 year old child losing her life this year due to his incompetence and lies but it was covered up and he was quietly given his job back.   3. I think that this man was set up. I think that this was a true injustice to him and his family. I truly hope that “real justice is done.”

  4. I think that what they (the City of Chicago Administration who was on this case) needs to do the same type of investigation to every city worker. Then, and only then would this type of treatment that was given Andre’ be considered “justified.”

  7. the inspector general’s office is a bunch of incompetent jerks. While being investigated by them, I was asked a whole bunch of irrevelvent questions, like whether I live with my parents or not. That had absolutely nothing to do with what I was being investigated for. They try and scare the bejesus out of you. I learned, never ever go there without a union rep. You may think you have done nothing wrong, but you need a representative in your corner. Thank you for this blog.

  11. The video shown is of my brother Andre Watson. I feel he was convicted before tried. Andre is the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back even in his condition .I believe these people didn’t like the fact that an Intelligent BLACK MAN had a position were he was respected by by his peers. and maybe even felt he could be a threat of even more hires of great African American Men and Women of the future. And one more thing to the voter’s of today and of the future especially African American voter’s- Do you want this type of Mayor or Inspector General making decision on your life or your love ones? I wouldn’t !!! Andre deserves his job back No actually he deserves his life back.

  12. Andre Watson is my brother.Andre’s job was his life .He devoted himself to The City of Chicago even when his mind and body was going thru changes. He never complained of his job it was his way of taking care of his family .Andre is a descent man who gaves his all to the City of Chicago in which he was a proud worker. And as repayment for this dedicated City Employee with Cancer all they could do for him is to take his job, life insurance and his unemployment Benefits and most of all the income to take care of his children.Andre never let his Illness get in the way of doing his job.So, why would the Mayor and the Inspector take his job in a most unprofessional manner. Give a real man a job he deserves.
