I am so dissapointed. I was so hopefull. What happened? My daughter and son-in-law own their own business and therefore their own insurance. As much as I have advocated, helped with raising money for Autism Speeks, they still cannot get covered for my grandson. They are spending thousands and thousands of dollars, along with their extended family to get help for him. Now they are being told that even tho they spend more out of pocket money for insurance, they are not covered. I was in tears when I read that. Is that “insurance for all autistic children?” What is wrong with this country that again, some are left behind? It was a joke as far as I was concerned and I will not back a bill nor advocate for it ever again that leaves “some” children out. As I write this I am in tears.
